Sounds of the Season

Congratulations to students in grades 1-5 for their spectacular performance at Valley River Center!  The students sang their songs the best they had ever done, and had excellent behavior!  Great job!  Thank you so much to those of you who were able to make it to Eugene and allow us to have an audience to perform for.  It was great seeing all of you there :)

Holiday Performance

Territorial Elementary has been invited to perform at Valley River Center in Eugene on Tuesday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m.  Students in grades 1-5 will be taking the bus to the mall at 9:00 a.m. and returning by 11:30 a.m.  Please have your student wear their green Territorial t-shirt. 

Families are invited to attend this special holiday performance!  Please come to provide our students with an audience.  We will be singing in the northeast corner of the mall outside the former Gottschalk’s store near the children’s play area.

Music Class

Music classes are off to a wonderful start for the 2012-2013 school year.  Students have music four times a week, Monday-Thursday, and are currently working on our music elements unit.  They are able to identify beat, rhythm, melody, harmony, and form through listening, moving, singing, playing, reading, and creating. 

Classes are able to earn a 10 minute dance party if they earn a certain number of points.  They can earn those points by being safe, responsible, and respectful.  Individual students are rewarded with Good Citizen Tickets for their good behavior.  Also, students who go above and beyond the music expectations can be chosen to be the Rock Star of the Week and get to be the special helper.
